“How do you manage a career or business when living on the Mornington Peninsula?”
My name is Tracey O’Connor, and this is the question people would often ask me living in Sorrento. Sure, it’s beautiful and who wouldn’t want to live on the Peninsula? But how do you manage a business or maintain a career down here? As a landscape architect, I knew the struggle of both working from home and commuting to the city only too well. I realised there was a real need here to find a balance between the distractions of working at home and the challenges of the long commute in order to be productive. But I was looking for even more than that, my ideal was to work locally and connect with like-minded people, and to form those relationships that help businesses thrive. And of course to not have to compromise on the other things that matter - like taking the kids to school, going to the beach or being able to hang out with my favourite furry friend.
I decided to create SorrentoHUB Coworkspace in 2018 to help people achieve work/life balance on the Southern Peninsula. Since then we have grown and upgraded our beautiful boutique premises in Ocean Beach Road Sorrento.
We have all types of businesses that call Sorrento HUB Cowork space home, and we have become a hub for design and construction businesses. We are now home for landscape architects, builders, architects and other built-environment professionals. As well as being a great place to work, the Sorrento HUB Cowork space is a place to meet, share ideas, collaborate and help take your project to the next level.
